Chelsea Pizza & Pasta has a sophisticated and pleasant decor, mainly due to the use of black and white and the various details that decorate the two rooms – the wine cellar, the iconic images of Italy or the natural elements that punctuate the space. Outside, the terrace is also an excellent suggestion and in high season reservation is recommended.
The pasta is spread on time. We accompany the well-known Mr. Américo in action that confides in us: they are already 30 years of experience. On the wood oven, rotating, no doubt, allows a more balanced cooking and on the masses adds: they are of own manufacture, made with a special flour, lighter.
The service is of great friendliness and the menu original. The pizzas have the designations of local places of the city, the pizza Vila a Dentro, Alto de Santo António, among many others. Another specialty is Fornarina, a bread base seasoned with olive oil, salt and rosemary that knows well as entree or even snack.
For dessert, the suggestion is an ice cream at Chelsea Geladaria which is right next door. In conversation with the owner Steven Martins this refers to us that Pizzeria and Geladaria are complementary projects and on ice cream highlights the quality of the ingredients used in the ice cream paste with 70% natural fruit.
The geladaria is a well renovated establishment, with a clear benefit to the relaxed atmosphere of Largo 1º de Dezembro. Nowadays with varied dining options, this is an excellent option to enjoy a warm evening in the pedestrian and inviting surroundings of Faro Downtown.
